THE HAMILTON TRAGEDY.

j A^VICyjM^TDENTIFIJ^D. It is now stated that the shoo found in the debris at the Hamilton Hotel did not contain a woman’s foot. Little doubt, however, is entertained that the maid Nellie Wood has perished. The body found has been identified as that of Donald, known as “Rory” O’Moore, by the deceased’s brother-in-law. At the inquest, the night porter said that when the alarm was given he saw Mr O’Moore, who had his trousers and bools on, pulling on his coat and vest. He did no! see him again. The police stated that the inquiries had accounted for all the male persons in the hotel except O’Moore. The Coroner said he was satisfied that the body was, that of O’Moore. A gang of men are searching the ruins for traces of the missing woman. _At the inquest on the body of Mr Moore Jones, a great tribute was paid the deceased’s gallantry. The Coroner said there was no doubt that he had lost his life in endeavouring to save others. A verdict was returned of death from burns and shock.
