HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The High Commissioner’s cable, dated 18th inst., reads: — Manila market steady but easier * at the end of week. G grade sold at per .ton, and down to £36 per ton; H quoted £36 10s per ton; J £36 per ton, March-May shipment., New Zealand continues dull. Small business has been done in high points at £33 10s per ton in dock; offers of high points in store £34 per ton, and good fair £36 per ton, have not resulted in business. Shipment value quite nominal. Stocks bn hand February 28th, 211 tons, against 557 tons same time last year.
