THE NELSON OUTBREAK. CHARGE OF INCENDIARISM. Nelson, Last Night. Arising out of the fire at Louis,son’s, Ltd., Wm. B. Hay and Ernest W. Broad, who were before the Court yesterday, charged with the theft of a number of fur-lined coats from the premises, and who were remanded until Monday, were charged at the Court this afternoon with wilfully setting fire to the premises, the property of Henry Baigent. A remand was granted till Monday. i

LATE OCCUPANT ARRESTED. j Te Kuiti, Last Night. A five-roomed dwelling in Awakino Road was completely destroyed by fire. It was owned by the estate of the late G. S. Otway, which is now administered by the Public Trustee. The occupant was diaries Campbell, a married man with seven children, who that day had been evicted under distress, warrant. The brigade saved some of the furniture. under difficulties. During the progress of the fire Police-Sergeant Fearnley overheard. Campbell, who was under the influence of liquor, making violent. boastful statements in connection with the joutbreak, and promptly arrested him 1 . He was remanded for eight days, bail being fixed at £I,OOO (Self’in £SOO, tfith two sureties of £250 each). x
