DAIRY EXPORTS.

INCREASED GRADING FIGURES. The director of the Dairy Division, Mr W. M. Singleton, furnishes the following particulars of cheese and butter graded during the month of February: -

Butter graded February, 1922, 103,790 cwt. (inc. 16.13 per cent.); February, 1921, 89,370 cwt. Total for seven months ended: —February, 1922, 737,781 cwt. (inc. 34.61 percent.) ; February, 1921, 548,057^ cwt.

Cheese graded February, 1922, 176.357 cwt. (inc. 33.87 per cent.); February, 1921, .131,729 cwt. Total for seven months ended: —February, 1922, 892,915 cwt. (inc. 2.37 per cent.); February, 1921, 872,235 cwt. • . Converting these figures into but-ter-fat equivalent, there is an increase of 20.96 per cent, in butterfat production for the seven-mon-thly period ended February, 1922, over the corresponding' period of 1920-21.
