THE KING’S PRIZE. WON BY ROOTS. Greytown, March 1. The King’s Prize for 1922 was fired in ideal weather. Roots, who had a lead of four when the ing started, got 47 and set all arguments at rest with an aggregate of 539, though excitement prevailed during the shoot, as West was on the next, target, and if Roots had failed, the Blenheim man would have got. into the lead. The latter got. on an excellent 49, ending two behind Roots.
Hnlmshaw gol up with 48 and filled third place with an aggregate of 534, followed by Pimm 528, Loveday 526, Guy 524, Bryan 521, Williams, Eyles and Guiney each 520, Hunt and Neilson each 519, Henderson, Morgan and Barkle each 518, Croxton 517, Duncan, Masefield, James and Bryden each 515, Siminonds and J. Feast 515, F. J. King, Ritchie, Reynolds, Milroy and Atkinson 511, Hood 509, Turner, Gold--finch and May hew 508, Low, Snusely and Canghley 507, Barnett, Moss and McLeay 505, Broughton and 11. Feast, 504, Clark, AY. J. Green and Evans, 503, Pntchett 488, Mnnro 487. Govenloek was absent. The belt and other prizes were then presented by Sir Walter Buchanan.
