RAT CAMPAIGN.
A LOCAL business man informed our representative this morning that unless the whole of the people in the business area took combined action to wage war on rodents, very little headway would be made in the socalled rat extermination campaign. He said he had been successful in capturing 'from 15 to 20 rats per week, and one of his neighbours had met with equal success, but despite that the rodents were more numerous than ever, He stated that the poison appeared to he. useless. All the poison bait he had laid had been taken, but apparently had had im fatal effect. The most successful method, in his opinion, was trapping, but isolated action appeared useless, \Ye suggest that the Retailers’ Association discuss the advisability of a combined campaign.
