MANSON AND BARR CUP
A rink consisting of P. Wilson, Percy, Pollock and Clements jnr. (s) visited Foxton yesterday to try conclusions with the holders of the Manson and Barr Cup. An excellent game re.-ulted, the scores throughout the game oscillating in favour of either rink, and on the 20th head the scores stood at 17 all. On the 21st 1 ead Foxton lay one up, and despite fie attempts of Levin to displace the iiead the game resulted in Foxton r tabling the trophy by one point. F. D. Whibley skipped the local rink in the unavoidable absence of W. Nye. Levin. Foxton. P. Wilson D. Whibley . Percy . Jno. Ross. Pollock Roots Clements (s) 17 F. Whibley (s) 18 Two gam ; in the Wilford Cup handicap singles competition were played yesterday afternoon, and resulted as follows: —Spring (6) 30, heat Parkin JS Y .19; Huntley (5) 24, beat Healey (0) 17. / The second round of this competition has now closed, and the drawing for the third round will he completed shortly. A meeting of file Committee will 7 be held in the pavilion at 6 o’clock -Tuesday evening.
