“DEAD” WIFE RETURNS.
FINDS HUSBAND REMARRIED,
Every month, for four years, John J. Bradley sent a cheque from his home in Philadelphia to his wife and baby in Kirtintilareh, Scotland. Then his letters were returned, and later an acquaintance told him his wife was dead. Four years afterwards he married again, this time Margaret Ilowley, of Philadelphia. Two children have resulted from the second union, and for the last three years the Bradley family has been living in Pittsburgh. But the original Mrs Bradley bad not died in Scotland, and after waiting for eight or nine' years, she came to Philadelphia and commenced a search for her husband. Success crowned her efforts of the last two years. But success without happiness, for she found him married. A feSv weeks ago a of bigamy was preferred against him. Bradley is a chauffeur, 45 years old, and his second wife said she was sure he acted in good faith, and that everything would turn out all right. The first wife, who is living in Philadelphia, being supported by her 17 years old son, Harry, saved for eight years to make the trip to America, and she feels she has first claim on Bradley.
