KILLED BY A SHARK
Sydney, Feb. 0. Mr Coghlan’s death by a shark was witnessed by a crowd assembled to watch the surf carnival. _J. Chalmers, a returned soldier, swam to the rescue while the shark was still attacking, and got Coghlan free. The champion swimmer, Baurepaire, came to his assistance, and brought the injured man ashore, where he succumbed to frightful wounds. The carnival was abandoned.
