RIFLE SHOOTING.

The weather was overcast and rainy on Saturday, when the second shoot for the Parkes and Retailers’ Trophies was held, at 500 yards. The wind was slight, and from the north-east. There was a good even light, but later on rain set in, and the wind freshened, and the last four men to shoot had the worst of it. Rflm. Hughes', Cull, Head and Rand have a,“leg in” for the trophies so far. J The scores on Saturday were as foljows: — 500 Yds. Hep. Total. H. Frankland 46 1 47 G. Cull 45 2 47 N. E. Hughes 44 3 47 d. Next Saturday, third and last shoot for the above trophies, 600 yards range.
