The Government Meteorologist wires at noon to-day as follows: — The indications are for variable and strong breezes, southerly strong to gale prevailing. Weather cloudy to overcast. Heavy rain is to be expected, with rivers flooded. Barometer unsteady. Seas heavy, tides low.
