TOWN HALL PICTURES
Wednesday. Sparkling comedy is cleverly blended with appealing pathos which leads to a dramatic climax in “The Smart Sex,” the Universal drama to be screened at the Town Hall to-morrow evening. Eva Novak, who made her name m “Society Secrets,” and “Wanted at Headquarters,” is the leading player. As the story opens, the girl is seen trudging up a railroad track, with a goose waddling alongside. They are leaving a theatrical company that has become stranded in the country town. From then on the wayfarers are thrown into seriocomic situations, which provide much humour. It all ends well with a concluding twang on the heart strings which is most pleasing. Another Century two-reel comedy, “In Again,” guarantees many laughs, while the second of last episode of “The Diamond Queen” has thrills galore. A News is also included in the programme. Prices, 6d and Is Id, children 3d.
