ALCOHOLIC POISONING.

Wailii, Jan. 17. An inquest was held at Katikati -y before the Coroner, Mr W; M. \Vnllnutt, touching the death of James —. Clark, a bushman, aged about 56, whose dead body was found lying on a bed in his tent at Beach Road. The evidence showed deceased had been indulging in a heavy drinking bout at his camp for. over a week, and the hotel proprietor had refused to serve him. A post-mortem revealed signs of excessive alcoholism. The Coroner’s verdict was to the effect that death was due to acute alcoholic poisoning.
