A handsome gold-mounted whip, donated by Mrs Walter Kirkland, for the rider of the winner of the Foxton Cup, is on view in Mr R. -Heath’s window. Moutoa Ivanova, Penalty and Liskanar, trained by Mr D. McCauley, were the horses safely removed from the local stables recently destroyed. by fire. Two speciaJ trains each day will run from Palmerston to Foxton; also the Sandon tram will run both days from Pukenui. Acceptances for the local meeting close on Monday, 16th instant, at 8 P-m-
