ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
MOTOR-CYCLIST KILLED. Hamilton, Jan. 11. A motor cycle ridden hv David Xoakes, aged 30 years, single, employed in the electrical branch of the Public Works Department, skidded in the sand on the HamiltonCambridge road, and crashed into a motor-lorry coming in the opposite direction. Xoakes was seriously injured, and was removed to the hospifnl, where lie died. Two of the passengers in the side-ear were not injured. FATAL FALL. Timaru, Jan. 10. At the inquest touching the death of Sidney Wood, aged 51, a garage attendant, evidence was given which showed that death was due to falling down a clay hank 4A feel high. Jle was taking a short cut home at night, and foil on the right side of his head. He fractured the fourth vertebrae, and death was practically instantaneous. He leaves a widow and children.
