ENTERTAINMENT.
A most enjoyable and versatile entertainment was held in the Methodist schoolroom on Thursday night. There was a large and appreciative audience. The stage was tastefully arranged as a drawingroom —the only property now needed to complete the stage is a set of draw curtains. Those contributing to the programme were: Misses Honqre and Scadden (pianoforte duet), Miss Vervian Minifie ( whose elocutionary items displayed natural talent, and careful training), Mesdames Clarke, L. Bullard, Mis.Nina. Scadden, Messrs J. Golder and Hinds (vocal items), Mr Farrell (banjo selections). The accompaniments were played by Miss Honore and Mr Thornlmr. The Rev. Mr Minifie presided over the mystery parlour, and his conjuring tricks wei'e followed with keen interest by the audience, and were well up to professional standard. Mr L. Bullard presided, and at the conclusion extended a vote of thanks to the performers, and to Mrs Walls foi the use of lhe~piano. The National Anthem brought a very enjoyable evening’s entertainment to a close.
