FOXTON BEACH IMPROVEMENT COMMITTEE.
The following is a statement of x receipts and expenditure for sports, etc., on New Year’s Day, 1922, from X 27th December to 2nd January, 1922: Receipts.—Foxton town collection £1 15s, Beach house collection £26 13s 9d, visitors collections £6 7s 7d, hot water takings £4 8s 4d, proceeds children’s concert £6 Bs, proceeds euchre party and dance £4 , 11s, hall entertainments £8 12s; total receipts, £SB 15s Bd. Expenditure.—Sports prizes, £9 '■ 19s 6d; excess of receipts over exi penditnre, £4B 16s 2d. ■f The seaside was well patronised on New Year’s Day, and a most enjoyable time was spent by visitors. The Harbour Board -will have to exercise a closer supervision of the reserves, in order to prevent the free hand of some people, who do not recognse any "authority, and camp where they choose. Camping licenses should be issued, and certain restrictions imposed. 4»
