MARRIAGE.

DEARLOVE—THOMPSON; The wedding look place at All Saints’, Foxton, on Tuesday last, of Arthur Honore bearloye, son of Mr and Mrs Dearlove, of Te Aroha, to Hilda May, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs R. J. • Thompson* of “The Pines,” Foxton. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr Walton. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of cream broche cachemire de soi and georgette, trimmed with silver roses, and carried a bouquet of madonna lillies and asparagus fern. The bridal veil was of embroidered net, and fastened with orange blossoms (lent by her sister-in-law, Mrs Arthur Thompson). Miss Lucy Thompson attended her sister as bridesmaid, and was attired in a frock of apri-cot-coloured silk, and hat of black and apricot, and carried a bouquet of heliotrope flow.ers and apricot streamers. Little Miss Elsie Thompson attended, as train-bearer, dressed in heliotrope silk with lace Leghorn hat with trimming to match, and carried a horseshoe of golden pansies. The bouquets were made and given by Mrs Frank Procter. The bridegroom was attended by his cousin, Mr Garnet Honore, of Foxton. The relatives were subsequently received at Perreau’s by the bride’s mother, who' wore a tailored costume of navy serge trimmed with black braid, and a chic model hat in black satin cellophane trimmed with osprey. The usual toasts were honoured, after which the happy couple left by motor for Palmerston N., en route to Hamilton for the honeymoon, after which they will take up their residence at Te Aroha. The bride travelled in a tailored costume of navy suiting serge, and smart brimless hat of rose cellophane and mastic ribbon smartly trimmed with fruit of contrasting colours and loose veil. The bride and bridegroom were the recipients of many presents, including several substantial cheques. The bride’s present lo the bridegroom was a handsome leather suitcase, and the bridegroom’s present to the, bride a rich brown fur wrap.
