SURPLUS STOCKS OF BUTTER.
Wellington, Dee. 23.
The Prime Minister’s request to the British Government that the sale at low prices of the New Zealand and Australian surplus butter be deferred till New Zealand has been given lime to consider fully the effect of the proposal has been acceded to. The High Commissioner cables: “The Board of Trade has a* greed to defer the forced sale until early next year.”
