On Tuesday, commencing at 2 p.nv, the Foxton Auctioneering Coy. will hold a special Christmas sale of fat poultry and hams. The list includes 10 fat young geese, 20 fat young ducks, 12 factory cured farmers’ hams, hens, roosters, etc.
The Foxton Cordial Company request customers to book their Christmas orders early, and thus ensure delivery of same, as the factory will be closed on December 2Gth and 27th.
Robertson’s, Universal Providers, insert in their space to-day a list of goods and their prices for cash. This store is carrying all lines of fruits and other ingredients necessary for Christmas cooking, as Well as the large stocks of general produce, groceries, fancy goods, etc. ’ Messrs Mounsey and Co. will hold a monster timber sale on the section adjoining the gas works on Monday, at 1 p.m. The timber will be sold in lots to suit buyers, and will consist of the following measurements, 4 x 2, 3 x 2, 3 x 1, 0 x 1, (i x 1, 3 x 1, 4 x 3.
Acting under instructions from Miss Williams, who is giving _up housekeeping, the Fotxon Auctioneering Co. will conduct an unreserved clearing sale of household furniture and effects, on the premises, Duncan Street (old sclioolhouse), on Wednesday next, commencing at 2 p.m. sharp. Full particulars are advertised to-day.
Train arrangements for Christmas holidays are advertised in this issue. Extra express trains wll run between Wellington and Auckland, and between Palmerston North and Auckland. Relief mail trains will run between Palmerston North and Napier, Wellington and Wanganui, and Wanganui and New Plymouth. Special trains will run from Wellington, Mnsterton, Dannevirke and Wanganui, and Feilding io Palmerston North races on 2(ith, 27th and 20th December..
