MONTHLY SITTING

The monthly sitting of the Magistrate's Court was held in the Court House yesterday, before Mr J. L. Stout, S.M.

CIVIL CASES,

S. A. Burnett v. W. Tamplin, £7 5s fid. Ordered to pay forthwith, in default seven days’ imprisonment with hard labour.

P. Spelman v. J. Kennedy, £1 11s. Ordered to pay forthwith, in default seven days’ imprisonment with hard labour.

R. G. Dun, Wellington, v| N. E. Hughes, £l7 11s 2d. Ordered to pay forthwith, in default 21 days’ imprisonment with hard labour. W. W. Martin, trading as the Viceroy Tea Co., v. Sydney Smith, £l4 !)s fid. Ordered to pay forth-, with, in default 14 days’ imprisonment with hard labour, warrant to be suspended as long as payments of £1 a month are made.
