ROYAL PICTURES.
One of the best attractions of a decade —at the Royal Theatre tonight—is “Dinly,” in which Wesley Barry, the freckle-faced boy actor, is seen in the first starring vehicle of his youthful career. li is the tale of a lighting newsboy, who has an old Irish mother to support. San Francisco’s Chinatown is the locale for some of the scenes, and it is replete with dramatic as well as amusing incidents. Among the unique characters who appear in support of Wes. Barry as “Dinty” O’Sullivan, are a Chinese youngster and a jolly little pickananny. Romance, pathos, humour and thrilling adventure makes this one of the most extraordinary cinema productions •ever filmed. A double feature all-Australian attraction will be presented at the Royal on Monday, under the direction of Messrs E. J. and Dan Carroll. The star is t.he latest “Snowy” Baker film in five acts, called “The Jackeroo of Coolabong,” in which the incomparable “Snowy” is given opportunities to display his physical and scientific abilities to the utmost degree.' The story is as thrilling as it is absorbing, and is interpreted by specially selected types. Miss Kathleen Keys, specially imported from America, a beautiful young brunette, appears opposite Mr Baker as the squatter’s daughter, and Miss Bernice Yere and Mr Arthur Tauchart, of “Sentimental Bloke” fame, have splendid parts in a long cast. During the evening Mr Abel Rowe will sing “An Oldfashioned Mother of Mine.” The prices will be 2s and Is, plus tax, children half-price.
