RIFLE SHOOTING

Last Saturday the second shoot for Air Head’s trophies was held, at 500 yards. The sky, which had been threatening rain, cleared up early, the light was good, and the wind a. light westerly breeze. Some fair scores were made, in spite of the aeroplane soaring overhead. Messrs C. Rand, McKegney and A. Barnard are leading for the trophies, hut the position may be changed after next Saturday’s shoot. Scores made on Saturday wore as follows :

The last shoot will be held next Saturday, at GOO yards. The Wanganui Rifle Association’s annual championship meeting will be held on the Putiki range, Wanganui, on December 27th, 28th and 20th. Entries close on December 15th,

The Wellington Rifle Association’s annual meeting will he held nt Trentham on January 2nd and 3rd. Entries close on December 30th. The Auckland Rifle Association's Jubilee Meeting will be held on the Penrose range on January 2nd and 3rd. Entries close on December 20th.
