FIRE BRIGADE.

The monthly meeting of the above was held on Tuesday night, Captain Hamer presiding. Correspondence to and from the Borough Council in regard to wrecking gear, etc., was read; also to. secretary, United Fire Brigades Assn., re registration and insurance of members. It was resolved that Captain Hamer and Mr Pearson attend the next Council meeting in support of the request for apparatus. The Secretary in the meantime to obtain price quotations of the various articles desired. The Secretary was instructed to write to the Secretary, D.P.8.A., entering Messrs Nat trass and Hutchinson as members of their accident assurance society. Mr Nat trass was elected a member of the Committee. A small account was passed for payment, and the meeting rose. .
