PRODUCE FOR EXPORT.
Large quantities of New Zealand produce for the United Kingdom are being dispatched from the port of Auckland, stales an exchange. Four large Shaw, Savill and Albion steamers were booked to load a part cargo there. Two of the steamers, the Waimana and the Tainui, completed taking in Auckland cargo last week, and sailed for southern ports for further loading. The Raranga is now loading at the Queen’s wharf, Wellington, while the Mnhia, at the Central wharf, will start loading within a few days. The following is an estimate of the total quantities of the principal items that the four vessels will have lifted at Auckland: 20,000 boxes of butter, 36,000 crates of cheese, 5,000 bales of wool, 49,000 cases of milk powder, and 36,000 carcases of meat, and large quantities of general sundries.
