A meeting of the Fowling Club Committee was held last evening, when the following business was done: — TRIANGULAR CONTEST. Competitors should specially note that the rules provide that the first round must be completed within four weeks from date. The Committee decided that no umpires be used in Wilford Cup matches. Two new members, Dr. Wylie and Mr V. Betty were elected. GALA DAY AT SHANNON. A Gala Day arranged by the Manawatu Centre was held on the Shannon green yesterday afternoon. Visiting bowlers were present from the following (dubs: — Terrace End 2 rinks, Palmerston 2 rinks, Foxton 2 rinks, Levin 1 rink, and six rinks were occupied. Mr J. W. Murray, president of the Shannon Club, welcomed the visitors, and expressed the hope that they would spend an enjoyable afternoon. The green, although slightly on the heavy side, was in good order, and played well. The visitors were entertained at afternoon tea by the ladies. The following are the details of the games in which the Foxton players took part:—
