RACING.

After contesting the Hurdle Race at the Levin races yesterday, Nobleman dropped dead. Nobleman was an aged gelding by Sir Laddo — Lady Stockwell, and during his career on the turf won many important races on the fiat, including the Manawatir and Wellington Cups. Nobleman, which was bred by Mr W. T. Jewell, of Mnrotiri, Foxton, was owned by Mr W. J. Phillips, of Palmerston North, and trainecl by R. Hatch.
