AN AUTOGRAPH HUNTER.
A RECORD COLLECTION
The super-hunter of autographs is Mr Joseph F. Mikulec, a Jugoslav, Avko recently arrived in London to complete his collection. This already numbers 50,000 messages and signatures of kings, presidents, princes, and great men of tAventysix nations.
They are all in a ledger-like book, weighing thirty pounds.
“I am anxious to obtain the autographs of King George and the chief Ministers of Great Britain —also of the French President —before I return to my native land to write a modern history of the world based on my personal experiences’,” said Mr Miliidee. He began bis great adventure twenty years ago, and in that period has travelled 2(35,000 miles —90,000 of Avhich he Avalked. He Avas lost in the jungle in Brazil, and tells many thrilling stories of encounters Avith Avolves and snakes. Although only able to speak his native tongue Avhen be left borne, Mr Mikulec hoav speaks English and several other languages fluently.
His collection does not include. a single German signature —not even the Kaiser’s. “I don’t Avant that,” said Mr Mikulec.
