They show that the total for the Dominion for the past year was 23,285,031, as against 23,010,970 for 1020, a decrease of (134,93 1 . Ot these there were 12,774,323 in the North Island, and 10,5.10,708 in the South Island. In the Wellington and West Coast district there were 5,104,061 in .1921, against 5,381,892 in 1020. The various breeds were distributed as follows:
