CRICKET.
The general meeting of all interested in cricket, called for last night, was not very well attended, and only business of immediate importance was transacted. Mr John Lock was elected secretary, Mr Carter having left the district. It was decided to write the secretary of the Horowhenua Association and secure the particulars of the senior and junior contest. It is considered that in the event of the Club not being able to put a team in for the senior contest, a junior team will be available.
