MISSIONARY LECTURE.
There was a fair attendance at the Masonic Hall on Thursday night to listen to a missionary lecture by Mr George Wilson, missionary for the past 23 years in China and Malaya. After devotional exercises, Mr Wilson told of his experiences in Malaya. -The scene of his work was indicated diy a. map, the explanation of which was most instructive. He described the island, climate, industries, and the teeming and varied nationalities which were located there. Touching on his work, he dwelt on the progress of hus missionary work, which he said God had blessed and prospered. lie instanced how in answer to prayer land had been given and buildings erected —.just, sufficient in each case to meet the needs as required. His work among the lepers made a deep impression upon his hearers. At the in answer to a request, he said he was unable to pay a return visit to Foxton at present.
