Manawatu Herald TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 1921. AN UNWISE POLICY.
THE Feilding Star indignantly protests against the action of the West Coast A. and P. Association cuttingout district advertising. “This ignoring of Pcilding (says the Star) is all the more remarkable when it is remembered that quite one-third of the membership and support from breeders to the M.W.C.A.P.A. comes from Pcilding and district. And during the past decade many Pcilding farmers have been its presidents and members of its executive. Our readers, who know how loyal this paper lias been to the Winter and Summer Shows in the way of gratuitous publicity, will recognise that the obvious thing for the Pcilding men who are on the Committee is to have the fullest enquiry into this matter.” Our contemporary is no exception to the new. policy adopted by the Committee, as all district papers arc chopped out. To say the least, it is base ingratitude to the district press, to whom must be given the credit of building up the Association. Ihe Committee has probably erred m ignorance, and now that our contemporary has called attention to the matter, wiser counsels may picvail in future.
