CORRESPONDENCE
(To the Editor.) 1
Sir. —I was interested in reading “Woman’s” letter in Tuesday’s “Herald,” and hope she will offer her serivces to the ratepayers, and be elected tom seat on the Countyl. I am sure she would have a mellowing effect upon the Council, and would win them to her ideas. Now, about shopping, “Woman,” I presume, is true to her nature, and would still travel to do her shopping, even if she could procure artL cles of clothing cheaper locally, because big shops and great variety outside attracts them, independent of prices. I would suggest, Sir, that the local Retailers’ Association make her an honorary and advisory member, too.' As to the School Committee, well, I will leave that to yon, Sir. • One thing she forgot to mention, and that was the tion of a Women’s Anti-Gossip and Scandal Society. Otfeero! — Yours mournfully,
HENPECKED.
