Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated lltli October, 11121: — “Wool sales have opened. There is a large attendance of buyers, and competition is keen. As compared with the closing rates of last sales, best merinos are lid per lb. dearer ; average merinos lid per lb higher; fine crossbreds, lid per lb. dearer; medium crossbreds, Id to lid per lb. dearer; coarse crossbreds, Id to 3d per lb. dearer. For slipe wools prices are irregular.”
