“COME yo out from si motive Uumii, jintl he separate.” Such text t liove been applied to the Labour Party, who were conspicuous by (heir absence at the complimentary dinner and welcome home tendered to the Prime Minister by Cabinet on Wednesday last. The wounded feelings of the Prime Minister would no doubt be salved by the knowledge that most of the Labour members happened to have engagements of importance elsewhere. Anyhow, as the Labour Party did not approve of the Prime Minister’s attendance at the Empire Conference, it would savour of inconsistency on their part to join in the “welcome home.” Their absence is in keeping with the present state of things in the body politic, and will continue until the millenium.
