“Hearts are Trumps” the Metro special, adapted from the famous stage melodrama by Cecil Raleigh, comes as the feature attraction to the Town Hall to-night. The exciting story opens with a card game and the human stake. Lord Altcar, the loser, upon discovering that his daugher, Lady Winifred, is married to his forester, orders the latter to be lashed by his keepers. Vowing vengeance, the forester departs, grows rich, returns, and sets about his revenge. The English and Swiss scenery is tine; the avalanche at the end of the picture being a wonderful sight. A comedy, the Moonriders serial, and an English Gazette are included in the progremme. Prices as usual, (id, Is Id, children 3d.
