BUTTER AND EGGS
Butter is retailing at 2s per pound in Wellington to-day, says the Post. Eggs range from Is 8d to Is lOd per dozen; some places Is 7d. Wanganui still holds the record for the retail price of factory butter at 2s 2d per lb. (states the Wanganui Herald). It is reported that new opposition will lower this to 2s Id.
