WEDDING

EVERTON—ROUGH

A • very pretty, wedding was recently solemnised at the Presbyterian Church, Foxton, when Miss Kean Rough, second daughter of Mr and Mrs Geo. Rough, Purcell Street, was married to Mr B. L. Everton, of Oturoa, Levin. The Rev. Halliday performed the ceremony, Mrs Claris presiding at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a beautiful frock of white ninon, over net, with silver trimmings, and her embroidered veil was held in position by orange blossom. A lovely white shower bouquet completed an exquisite toilette. The bridesmaid, Miss Elvie McDonald, of Marton, cousin of the bride, wore a pretty frock of lemon crepe-de-chene, accordeon-pleated, with a large tulle bow, and black picture hat touched with lemon, and also carried a shower bouquet of freesias and spring flowers. Miss Alison Baird, niece of the bride, was a winsome little flower-girl, and wore a pretty pale pink frock, with a dainty spring bonnet to match. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Frank Everton, of Kellmrn, Wellington, who acted, as best man. After the ceremony the relatives and intimate friends of the bride and bridegroom were entertained at a reception at Perreau’s, where the customary toasts were duly honour cd. Afterwards Mr and Mrs Everton left, amidst showers of confetti and good wishes, per motor, to Levin, thence to Wellington, where the honeymoon was spent. Mrs Everton looked very smart in her travelling costume of nigger brown with small brown toque, relieved with gold, to match..
