FEILDING AROUSED,
GOOD old Eeilding! Beyond u couple ol' sacred concerts, Eeilding did not throw any coins on the heap for a St. Helen’s Hospital for the Palmerston Hospital District. The “Star” stood on its hind* legs' and declared that Eeilding for too long had been a “milch cow for Palmerston,” and it intended to raise funds for a St. Helen’s Hospital on its own, also a cottage hospital. It also threw other inky missiles at its big brother for wanting to monopolise everything. The “Star’s” slathering so far as it affected Palmerston was as water on a duck’s back, but it has had the effect of stirring up Eeilding to become more self-cen-tred, and less reliant on its neighbour.
