ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES

New Plymouth, Sept. 24.

Fred Cassidy, aged 69, married, committed suicide last night by cutting his throat. He disappeared from his home in (he afternoon, and was found on the beach this morning. He had been in bad health for some months, and was very depressed. He was a retired farmer. Feilding, Sept. 24.

Rudolph Noffke, aged 69, of Halcombe, was found dead this morning lying in a creek by the roadside. He was last seen alive last evening. Apparently the deceased fell into the creek.

Rotorua, Sept. 24,

Private C. Simpson was found dead in bed at the King George Hospital this morning. He was a widower, about 50 years of age, and belonged to Auckland. Ho was not a cot case, and was about yesterday.
