OTAKI MEETING
The spring meeting of the Otaki Maori Racing Club was opened yesterday in beautiful weather. There was a good attendance, but the tola lisa tor returns showed a decrease of £10,781 —a drop from £39,547 to £28,70(1.- Results: Maiden. —In the Pink 1, Salstice 2. Panacher 3. Won by a length and a-lialf; two lengths between second and third. Time, 1 min. 4 4-5 sec.
Dominion Day Hack Handicap.— Beloved 1, Cleasanta 2, Admiration 3. Won by three lengths; a head between second and third. Time, 1 min. 45 1-5 sec.
Tat inti Steeplechase.—Ore Ore 1, Otaura Kid 2, Mnlincourt 3. Won by four lengths, with six lengths between second and third. Time, 4 min. 22 1-s”sec.
Memorial Slakes. —Printemps 1, Kilgour 2, Verbosity 3. Won by a long neck; second horse two lengths ayvay. Time, 2 min. 44 sec.
Stewards’ Handicap. — Martial Dawn 1, Makere 2, Waimahoe 3. Won by a length; two lengths between second and third. Time, 1 min. l(i 4-5 sec.
Flying Handicap.—Solfanello 1, Nursing Sister 2, Bindle 3. Won by one and a-lialf lengths, a good third. Welter. —Not-a-Wede 1, Militaire 2, Kyoto 3. A Yon by a neck. A neck separated second and third. Time, 1 min. 31 4-5 see. Kereilii Welter Handicap. —Detroit 1, Probate 2, Princess Pat 3. Heads separated placed horses.
