PARADE SHIRKERS HEAVILY FINED.

Auckland, Sept. 21.

Heavy penalties for failing to attend military parades were imposed on a numbelr of territorials and cadets by Mr Poynton, S.M., in tho Magistrate’s Court. One offender was deprived of his civil rights for ten years, and several others were fined £5. About 20 youths were prosecuted. In the majority of cases their attendance had been unsatisfactory for a long and the defendants had not*responded to repeated notices from the department.
