ROYAL PICTURES.

The story of Douglas Mac Lean’s latest Paramount-Inee comedy, “Chickens,” which is to be shown at the Royal on Wednesday (tomorrow), is familiar, to the readers of the Saturday Evening Post, wherein it recently appeared under the title of “Yaneonua Yillios.” llcrschel S. Hall is the author. Versatility, a keen sense of humour, and an individual style have won for Hall the distinction of being one of 1 he most popular writers of the country. “Chickens,” which was written in an entirely different vein Jrom the tales of the Pittsburg Steel Mills, which established the author’s vogue as a writer, was received with enthusiasm. Agnes Christine Johnston, author of many of Douglas Mac Lean’s and Charles Ray’s most popular successes, adapted the story, and has lost none of the author's line humour or dramatic situations. Jack Nelson directed. Gladys George is the leading woman. Mack Bennett will also tell of the mirth and humour to be found in an artist’s studio, in his_ latest Paramount comedy, “Dabbling in Art,” to be presented in the same programme. It is a peppy story of marital infidelity, and will no doubt be thoroughly enjoyed by the onlookers. The cast is an exceptionally talented one,.
