CHRISTCHURCH JOURNALIST’S SUICIDE.
Christchurch, Sept. 15
George F. Hendry, chief sub-edi-tor of the Sun, was found hanging in the lavatory at his residence in Beckenham at 5.30 p.m. to-day. He left the office at 4 p.m., in normal health.
Deceased was a single man, a native of Mosgiel, and was educated at the Otago Boys’ High School, He started journalism in Dunedin, and afterwards was on the New Zealand Times and the Auckland Herald. He joined the Sun as reporter at its inception in 1014.
