BOROUGH FINANCE.
The Borough Treasurer reported at Monday night’s Council meeting hs follows: —
During the month of August the sum of £5,208 12s 4d was received, and was placed to the credit of accounts as under:—District fund account £1,200 7s 4d, cemetery account £2 5s od, water and drainage account £4,000. The ledger balances at the 31st August, 1921,‘were as follows: —Imprest cash account £lO, general £316 0s 3d, gasworks £5lB 19s sd, hospital and charitable aid £l7 9s, reserves £149 15s lOd, interest £224 2s 2d, all at debit, a total of £1,23G 0s Bd. The accounts at credit were: Contractors’ deposits £212, cemetery £93 15s lOd, library £O2 13s Id, sanitation £l5O 12s 4d, town hall £142 0s 9d, reconstruction £1,218 Is lOd, water and drainage £4,437 10s od, a total of £6,323 0s 4d.
