The butchers of Foxton notify that they intend observing a close holiday on Saturday next, on the occasion of the Butchers’ Annual Picnic. Their premises will be open for business on Friday night until 7 o’clock. The New Zealand Railways advise by advertisement that holiday excursion tickets, available for return until Tuesday, 20th September, will be issued from any station between New Plymouth and Foxton, to Wellington, on Friday and Saturday next, in connection with the All Blacks v. Springboks test match.
