ROYAL PICTURES.
Thomas Meighau, Paramount’s •big, likeable star, will be seen at The Royal to-morrow night in “The Frontier of the Stars." The story concerns Buck Leslie, a gangster and gunman, who tries to stop a fight between Gregory, a chemist, and a Bowery tough, with the result that Phil Hoyt, a Bowery detective,

making a clear case of circumstantial evidenco against him. Buck escapes to the housetops, where he comes upon Hilda Shea, sister-in-law of Hoyt, a cripple who has spent most of her life in a wheelchair on the roof of an East-side tenement house. Hilda hides Buck from Hoyt, and they become such good friends that Buck is induced to seek an honest livelihood. Seeking revenge on Buck, Gregory originates a scheme whereby he will be caught, with some dangerous explosives in his possession. Buck visits Hilda, with the explosives, and Hoyt tries to arrest him. A fearful light ensues, during which the explosives set.fire to the tenement. Exciting incidents follow. Faire- Binney is the leading woman. A Mack Sennett comedy, “She Loves Me Plenty,” is included in the programme. Thursday’s programme is headed by a realistic story of to-day, “An Alien,” from the famous Ince studios, and in addition a comedy, “Too Many Tenants,” will be included.
