TOWN HALL PICTURES.
To-night. —A special programme is to Ik; screened at the Town Hall to-night, headed by “The House of Temperley,” a British adaptation of Si, Conan Hoyle’s novel, “Rodney Stone.” A line dramatic offering of England in the days of hare-knuckle boxing this picture combines an exciting and romantic story with a line sporting interest. The adventures of young Temperley, after getting into the hand;* of moneylenders, are thrilling, while his romance with a neighbour's daughter is pleasing. "The House of Temperley" is English throughout. George Graves, Charles Rock, and Alma Taylor play the leading roles. A line New Zealand Gazette, in which the Springboks v. Manawatu-Horowhe-nua and v. Wanganui matches, dual of Horowhenua Hockey Cup (Weraroa v. Excelsior), and the last cricket match, Foxton v. Levin, are to be seen, will also be shown, with a two-reel comedy, “Bucking the Tiger.” Prices, Is Id. and 2s Id, children half-price.
