THE “SPRINGBOKS”-“ALL-BLACKS” MATCH.
RACECOURSE, TO-MORROW.
, All the necessary arrangements in connection with the “All-Blaeks”-“Springboks” match to-morrow have been completed. The management regrets having been unable to cope with the. whole of the orders for reserved seats which have come in. Thousands have been turned down and disappointed. To alleviate matters, the match will be played on No. 1 ground, so as to get the use of the Club’s grandstand, which will accommodate another two thousand adults. Provision has been made to reserve the most prominent part of this stand for the Vive-regal party, and for the M’s.P. The stewards’ stand will of necessity be commandeered for the sole use of “Lord Northcliffe” and the proprietors of the Dominion newspapers. The superstructure to the north side of (he ground has been reserved for Golder’s Royal Band. Next to this, a stand has been set aside for the “mothers” who will need assistance. The M.C. Council has consented to run trams from the suburbs to Foxton as far north as Sanson, and as far south as the Moutoa Swamps. In order to avoid any overcrowding at the bar, the “Kennedy” will conic in a few hours before the Whakatu, and on the day of the match “.Timmy” Nash may he able to got the “Blenheim” to bring in a load of Wellington’s best sports. Mr -T. Wyeth will have sole control of the gates, and taxis are specially requested to assist the indefatigable gatekeeper in every way possible by collecting the fares before discharging their loads.
