IN DIVORCE SUIT

The hearing was concluded in the Divorce Court at Wellington yesterday, before Ilis Honour Sir Joltm Salmond, of the pavilion by Mattio Natali Sareicli (carrier), a natural<iV)d Austrian, for dissolution of his marriage with Eileen Sareicli (formerly Pearce), on the ground of alleged'adultery with George Vance Shannon, a Feilding grazier, who was joined to the issue as co-re-spondent, and from whom petitioner claimed £2,000 damages. Ilis Honour, summing up, presented the following questions to the jury:—

(1) Whether Mrs Sareieb com mil tod adultery with Shannon?

(2) Whether Shannon committed with Mrs Saivioh?

(3) If so, what damage- was ihe petitioner entitled in?

The jury, after fifteen mmures returned with affirmative an -wers to each of His Honour’s questions, assessing the damages at £1,500. TTi- Honour granted a decree nisi, to be made absolute within three months. Tie ordered that the damage- l>e paid into Court within fourteen days. Costs were awarded on the highest scale against co-re-spondent. JTis Honour ordered Mini the mother have the custody of the youngest child only.
